Online Gaming: Ran Online PH (Apocalype Server)

I've been playing online games and pc games for years, and have played most online games released here in the Philippines. I made this blog to share my gaming experience, the games i played, as well as my thoughts on these games.

Okay so first on the list is Ran Online. This is the online game that i'm currently playing. I have a 190 Dex Swordsman, and a 20x Extreme Swordsman. I'm on Apocalypse Server, and for those who still don't know, Apocalypse is the product of merging Fury and Tala server. My thoughts on the server: It sucks. I was on Fury before the server merged, and life was good. The economy is good and you get a fair deal on the ep items that you'll buy or sell. You can get a nice amount of gold doing the Daily attendance quests, and if you're a hardcore gold farmer you can farm your way to to being a billionaire just by making dummy accounts and doing the daily attendance quests. Then the merging happened, which took almost a week to complete, and all hell broke loose. There were many bugs in game, like long loading time when moving to other maps, especially the market, the daily attendance quest always resets to day 1 every server maintenance, and the most recent bug, the GOLD BUG which happened last january 27, 2013. Only a few players seemed to know how to do it, but it was enough to bring the server economy down, with their seemingly unlimited gold they bought most of the rare items on the market, and soon enough vendors began selling items as much as 10 billion gold. Most of the players became instant billionaire that day, which is actually not good for the server economy. The GM's solved the problem by doing a server rollback, which reverted all our character status including the exp, and ep items bought that day. This enraged most of the players, imagine yourself grinding for 16 to 18 hours just to level up your character, then tomorrow when you're back online your character's exp reverted back to where you started. Well i can't blame the gm's because they had no other choice but to do a rollback to save the server's economy, i just wished that they didn't include exp, but hey, i'm no techie so i don't know if that's possible or if its an easy task to do :p. Anyway after the rollback the gold buggers seemed to lay low a bit on purchasing rare items, but most of the items on the market are still overpriced, especially the refines, probably due to the resetting of daily quests to day 1 after every server maintenance(players can't reach day 7 box which contains refine bundles). This has really become a problem to players like me cause even with my decent amount of gold i can't purchase items that i need unlike before. This has led me lay low a bit from playing this game, right now i just have my character vend on the market while i do other stuff. Hopefully when the server becomes stable I'll be able to play to my heart's content again ^_^

Next time I'll be pointing out some good things about this game, and hopefully provide some in-game vids, or I might give my thoughts on other games that i play. Thanks for reading :)
